Hi dave,

this is not a support thread for the flash galleries. I suggest if you bought the product contact the TM customer support. I'm sure they will help you.

I can't get it to work at all. The flash seems to not be able to read from the php (or html) files. The flash then locks up which also locks up the browser. I'm at a loss.

I was having the same issue as most of the people listed here. It would seem that it is related to the owner\group for the directories. the permission must be set to allow the http server process account to change the permission on the directory. simply chmod'ing the directory to root will not work if you are running web services as 'wwwuser'

yeah thats possible that the problem is layout related and to solve inside the .fla file :)

I think there need to be a template with a layout that can handle more than number of x categories. (I will post a link update to the TM marketing department).

In the sample I downloaded you can go to 5 category's.

Indeed, I was able to add more then five cat by adapting "xxxxx_gallery.php". First time I tryed I thought it was not working because the admin^panel poped some "object.." error. But it was simply a chmod issue. I forgot to give the right permission by uploading the new images folders.

Now I'm looking into adapting the layout in the .fla file. Maybe it is possible to create a sort of scrolling menu were each new cat wil be added.

But to reply to your first question in this topic:
To me it is not necessary to buy any of there template as the sample is working fine and there is only work on adapting the layout to whatever you wich.

But if they lower the price I will certenly buy one because I will use it. It is just that I don't have that type of budget.

To me this gallery project is a step closer to make flash accessible for noobs.

<blockquote>
But can’t have more then 5 categories and no way to have more.
</blockquote>

by default there are only 4 categories, do you tried to add more categories in the same way as the 5th catgery? (check the file "xxxxx_gallery.php")

Hi Stuart,

... the TM blog is really busy ;)

I checked the demo file (used the link from the Blog site) and it was working for me: Admin (incl. Upload), the gallery, everything. There was one small bug in the gallery test suite, if people remove the break (check my comment at the TM blog) command it will work. I guess people have trouble because they have bad configured hosting packages. It worked for me on this hosting account, just upload and ready. the test gallery script is not needed to make it working if the server is well configured.

<p>Why would anyone purchase the full priced product if Template Monster can't even supply a working demo to convince them?....</p>
