Is this target unreal? or do you need several years to get such a high ranking?

After a lot of blogging and several inbound links your blog is starting climbing. Today I checked the last blog in the Technorati top100: Currently you need more then 2800 unique links from other blogs to get there!

Between Webdigity members there has started today a little race: “which of their Blog will reach the Technorati top 100.000 as first”

Maybe it’s interesting to guess how much links a blog needs ;)… check here the forum post.

I noticed in this swicki blog post some tips about how to optimize your buzz cloud for your website:

For example, it’s possible to use a parent html block element to resize the width of your buzz cloud. But there are more possibilities while using CSS: I re-styled this buzz cloud to get some mouse-over effects with the colors from the website:

While reading some secrets about link building techniques I stumbled over the squidoo community. Like on other websites like mySpace it’s possible to create your personal page (a lens) and you can add there content like news, RSS feeds, links and of course your own content like text and images. The one thing what was new to me is that you can earn money with your lens; they have a kind of profit sharing. There are already Google AdSense ads between your content blocks and it’s allowed to add additional advertisements (for example banners) on your lens page and if your lens has a lot of traffic, you earn some money (don’t ask me how much). According the article I read about link building it should boost the traffic to your site because people are reading your lens and there would be also a good Google PageRank after a while.
