After writing last week a short review about the advertisement site 43ads.com I got some interesting comments about other nice Web 2.0 styled advertising ideas.

bla.st
This is a nice combination of free and paid advertising, in the beginning you will get a spot on the first page of common key words like “web-design“. Interesting at this site is, that your ad is live after submission and the possibility to get a direct information how much a bid will raise your ad on selected pages. The website is really clear and you get the chance to have a 270×165 pixel banner ad for free. (more…)

Today my Blogotition competitor Nico started a new website project:

43ads.com

No, not just another 43/web 2.0 website, but a nice advertising idea with payback guaranty if the banner is our of the game.

How does it work?
There are 43 slots where the ads are placed, the ad with the highest bis gets a central spot for a 200*200px banner. If there are more then 43 bids the one with the lowest price is removed and the advertiser gets his money back or more if the new bid is higher than the bid for place 42 (check the information at 43ads.com to learn how it works).

There was last week a website with a similar offer, with the result a Alexa rank less then 3.000 (today)

In the beginning the internet has already several portal sites (like Yahoo or all the start pages with hundreds of links), to give the visitor the most important links, an Internet search option or just information.

Today in the Web 2.0 genertation, communities are the hot place where people start surfing every day. People like to meet people with related interests and like to see what other people has posted to items they have placed or commented the day before.
For example the webdigity forum is evaluated into a community since people are not only there for the forum but also for other stuff like the tutorials, the CSS design gallery, the link directory and last but not least the features like the forums shop where people can buy things with the points they earned while posting at the forum. Today I noticed the new partnership between Templatemoster and AddThis.com. First I thought it must be a web-design related company, but I was wrong:

AddThis.com is a kind of social-bookmarking service with some special features. First of all you don’t need to start your next bookmark list, just continue with your favorite one like del.icio, blinklist or others. Just like the service at feedburner.com you click just one link and next you get access to the most common social bookmarking websites on the internet. That will say it’s up to the visitors choice.
