Several weeks ago I found some link/advertising website via the DP forum offering PR5 links for just 1 British pound. First I thought OK, the next word cloud website, but I was wrong: You-Cubez.com is some link community with additional features.

1. While paying a higher price your cube is higher listed (bidding directory)
2. Create your custom cube in the colors you like
3. Sell your cube to other members (market place)

One of the most important thing is, you get some traffic while advertising on this site! (don’t ask me why…)

Furthermore there are some features to get extra “value” for some cube, login/vote once every day and get 1 BP value for one of your cubez. You get the same bonus for referring new customers or for every 50 unique visitors.

I think, the Cubez website has some very nice and not common marketing ideas, but need more development in the front end (the order process could be easier).

The latest product from TemplateMonster is some new CMS with a stylish flash powered photo gallery front end. While the product is developed for the “non professional” webmaster are the CMS features really advanced. The gallery script looks a little like the bigger PHP photo galleries but there is need no for a database and the CMS has some nice features like:

• automatic thumbnail generation (loads much faster than resizing a photo using Flash’s jpg object)
• a PHP powered file upload
• an unlimited number of categories and photos for each category (only the load time is the limit)
