After writing last week a short review about the advertisement site 43ads.com I got some interesting comments about other nice Web 2.0 styled advertising ideas.

This is a nice combination of free and paid advertising, in the beginning you will get a spot on the first page of common key words like “web-design“. Interesting at this site is, that your ad is live after submission and the possibility to get a direct information how much a bid will raise your ad on selected pages. Some days before TemplatesMonster has announced that the latest Zen-cart themes (templates) are updated for use with Zen-cart version 1.3x. These themes are fully compatible with the latest features.

According TemplateMonster:

For websites using the older versions of Zen we will still offer templates compatible with the older system, even while we offer the updated models. Templates for the old and new systems are not interchangeable so we will offer both.

That will say that users of older version of Zen-cart are able to use this new and modern templates.

Currently there are 20 unique templates with different styles for almost every kind of business.

These days version 2.0 of eSyndiCat the commercial directory (PHP powered) script has been released. According the company there are a lot of new features in this version like:

  • Brand new admin panel
  • Improved security
  • Improved performance
  • Improved banner management
  • Improved link checking
  • Improved banner management

I decided to use eSyndiCat for the my directory website some month before because of all the functions and the abbility to modify templates and code with easily. The scripts is mostly OOP based and is using Smarty as template engine. My first thought after I heard about the release was, what do they changed to make this script better? (more…)
